My Anti Crohn's Diet

With regards to my previous blog, remember, before I was in hospital I had started a gluten free diet, and I think that's why I cured myself of pain and Crohn's symptoms so quickly.  However, I did more reasearch and found that I should put myslelf on a anti-inflammatory diet, and within 3 days of this I felt so much better.

I remember when I walked into the health food shop, I felt dreadful. I wondered if I would ever feel normal again. I was also very scared, however in saying this, I have a strong mind and once I set it on somthing, I make it happen.

This is a lifetime diet I am afraid.  For me, I will never go back to anything else, as the results have made me feel terrific. It's not easy to start with, and you may even have the effects of a de-tox! Stick with it and keep positive.

Debbie's Anti Inflammatory Diet

Eat a lot of these foods.  I find it best to graze all day then you don't feel hungry.  It's better to have 6 small meals than 2 main meals:

Green leafy vegetables, beetroot, carrots, ginger, avocados, blueberries, 6-8 almonds, tuna, sardines, olive oil, salmon, fruit (not bananas), eggs, Olive oil, chicken, organic meat, puffed millet

Take all these foods out of your diet:

The white devils i.e. rice, pasta, bread and sugar. Now this is hard, because these things are in a lot of food. Beleive me you get used to it and these days there are some great gluten free foods including cakes. Perserve! Also cut out anything with Omega 6 i.e. oils except Olive Oil. Wheat, processed meats. Get into the habit of looking at labels and ask yourself every time you put someting in your mouth 'is this going to cure me or make me sick?" Cut back on alcohol - I found some great low carb wines that I enjoy. I still enjoy a glass of red but I am careful not to go overboard. Cut out margarine and all highly processed foods.

Supplements to take

Fish oil, mussel oil, slippery elm bark, zinc, pro-biotic and alo vera juice. Take these daily.  I advise you to see a naturapath to establish what quantities to take.  I take the alo juice 20ml first thing in the mornign and last thing at night (empty stomach). Slippery elm once a day, it's revolting but very soothing on the digestive track.  I take one pro biotic, 3000 mg fish oil and 2 mussel oil tablets, one zinc tablet.

Positive Attitude

I urge you to read my articles on the law of attraction throughout this website. I can only tell you it works for me. The golden rule to remember is this: Negative thoughts i.e. worry, concern, fear will stop you creating the things you want as what you focus on (good or bad) you will attract. I can tell you that I live a fabulous life and my health is great thanks to this diet and my mindset.
